STAYCATION WITH MARRIOTT

STAYCATION WITH MARRIOTT

It has been so incredibly long since I was last back home in Vancouver. From going every couple of months,  I had to wait half a year. One thing I missed was being able to enjoy home without trying to travel elsewhere- really seeing what Vancouver is like through a tourists’ perspective.

Thankfully for the team at Vancouver Marriott Pinnacle Downtown, I had the pleasure of staying in their beautiful space for a weekend during my short stay.

As you may have heard there has been a recent (positive) change to Marriott as they completed the acquisition of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. The Marriott Rewards program now includes the Ritz-Carlton Rewards and SPG- the most recognized loyalty programs in hospitality all under one umbrella.

Travel Brilliantly.

With the new hotels continuing to join the family, you can expect renovations and changes to the hotels who have been in the business for some time.

I got to stay in the Bravo Suite, one of the best rooms in the hotel. Check it out below!

The room is absolutely stunning. It was massive. You’ve got your dining room, a mini-kitchen, a lounge area with a tv and sofa, and then the bedroom with the king size bed with a gorgeous view.

It’s so modern- this is what you would expect from the newer rooms with the hardwood floor. Easier to maintain, more hygienic and much more modern.

Room Service

Their room service is stellar. Delicious food with a view? yes please!

Fresh juice, fruits, vegetables and satisfying carbs. What more could you ask for?

Showcase Restaurant & Bar

After checking out, I’d highly recommend having a lunch at Showcase Restaurant & Bar. After having been there once, check out the post here, I was excited to have another meal.

If you like a kick in your tacos, go for theirs. If you’re a brussel sprouts lover, you’d love their brussel sprouts appetizer as much as I do. (I almost ate the entire bowl!) The cauliflower is a popular favourite as well. They’re all cooked to the perfect taste and texture.

This hotel is great for personal visits, vacation, staycations, business trips, and meals. You’ll find that lunch time will be pretty busy as people in the offices had to Showcase to grab a bite so I’d recommend booking a reservation ahead of time if you want to guarantee a table at a particular.

I can’t thank Marriott enough for the amazing hospitality and a treat to their delicious food offerings.

xo,

J
